"Battle of the Bag"
The story that stood out to me the most during this video was regarding the Mumbai, India floods and how it essentially led to so much more disaster due to their sewage system getting clogged by plastic bags. It was quite insane seeing how something such as single use plastic bag could impact a whole environment to the point where it inadvertently led to deaths due to the lack of ability to properly drain the sewage system. This was quite eye opening to the fact that something as “small” as a single use plastic bag has such huge ramifications, especially in countries where people don’t have quite as many resources as we do here. The efforts made by the government in India was definitely a step in the right direction.
